I'm a self-taught front-end developer currently located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I love learning about new technologies and building user interfaces for the web.
Rock, Paper, Scissors - Game
HTML - Sass - JavaScript
After learning the basics of web development, I decided that I wanted to make a simple rock, paper, scissors game. While simplicity is often the way to go about projects, I decided to really test my skills and make the game inside of Nintendo Game Boy. Out of all of my projects, this required the most amount of work.
Phó Real - Restaurant
HTML - CSS - JavaScript
While I was thinking of what my next project could be, I regularly stumbled across family-owned restaurant sites and noticed how user-hostile they were. I decided to pick a local restaurant and remake their site. I faced many challenges during this project, but the hardest was creating the dynamic menu. Once I started learning React.js, I realized how much of a smoother experience it would have made this project.
ACTIVELIFE - Activity Tracker
HTML - CSS - React.js
I chose an activity tracker for my first React.js project because I was always involved in athletics when I was growing up. During the beginning of my learning journey, I heard React.js made things so much easier and allowed people to build applications faster. While this is true, there definitely was a learning curve to this framework. I found having components really allowed me to focus on one task at a time and not get overwhelmed.
